Delivery in Ireland

As standard our orders are €5.90 / FREE SHIPPING on all orders OVER €100

(*Note that this does not include our furniture orders — these orders cost significantly more to ship and hence orders that include furniture will incur a delivery charge - please see more information below about our furniture deliveries.)

Furniture / Fragile Items

Many of our furniture pieces are sourced from Europe and therefore once ordered take up to 4-12 weeks to get delivered. 

Please note that the larger items and more fragile items (eg. Mirrors) in our store are sent with specialist couriers and need to be sent to an address where a signee can take in the piece between 9 - 5pm Monday to Friday. Parcels that need to be re-directed due to no-one being at address will incur additional shipping charges.

Our large furniture orders cost significantly more to ship hence a delivery charge will incur - this will depend on weight, size and quantity of item and area it is being delivered to.

Please note that furniture is delivered by one man/woman to your front door or entrance to apartment (or as close to your home as possible) - this is for insurance reasons. If you require your furniture delivered into your home or into a specific room - please call us and let us know before delivery as this will incur a higher fee. 

Shipping to UK  

Due to Brexit, there may be local customs and taxes applied to orders in the UK. These are the customers responsibility - you will be advised by your courier upon arrival. Your order may also be delayed due to these new customs procedures - please note this is out of our control. The weight of your shopping cart will determine your shipping.
 

Returns, Cancellations & Refunds Policy (Ireland)

This policy applies to consumers purchasing goods from APRIL AND THE BEAR LTD through our website in Ireland and the EU. It does not affect your statutory rights under Irish consumer law.


1. Faulty or Non-Conforming Goods

Goods must be as described, fit for purpose and of satisfactory quality.

If goods are faulty or do not conform to the contract, you are entitled to remedies under the Consumer Rights Act 2022, including:

  • A full refund within 30 days of delivery, or
  • A repair or replacement, or
  • Other remedies provided by law where applicable.

2. Right to Cancel Online Orders (Distance Contracts)

If you purchase goods online, you have a statutory right to cancel without giving a reason.

  • You may cancel within 14 days of receiving the goods.
  • After notifying us of cancellation, you have a further 14 days to return the goods.
  • Return costs are payable by the consumer, unless the goods are faulty or incorrect.

To exercise your right to cancel, email shop@aprilandthebear.com with a clear statement of cancellation.

3. Condition of Returned Goods

You must take reasonable care of goods while in your possession.

You may be liable for any diminished value of the goods resulting from handling beyond what is necessary to establish their nature, characteristics and functioning.

4. Refunds

Refunds will be made using the original payment method within 14 days of receiving the returned goods or evidence of return.

5. Exceptions to the Right to Cancel

The right to cancel does not apply to goods that are:

  • Made to the consumer’s specifications or clearly personalised 

  • Sealed goods not suitable for return for health or hygiene reasons, once unsealed
