This art print by Scottish artist Daniel Seex features a rather barren, snow-covered plain with trees and lonesome houses scattered about and a pool of blood.... The print's palette revolves around the more subtle shades of the spectrum (grey and white) creating a moody piece full of ambience and intrigue.
Daniel works primarily in pen and ink adding colour and texture digitally and often building a picture from multiple works. This allows his work to have a flexibility that is useful when it come to illustration. He has a taste for surrealism and deadpan humour and would cite contemporary illustrators such as Tom Gould, Jon Klasson and Yuko Shimizu as his major influences. He currently lives in Edinburgh with his partner Julia. When he’s not drawing on something Daniel is interested in trivia, vexillology (that’s flag geekery), history, chemistry and sharks.
This super quality print measures 25 x 42 cms and is printed on to 260 - 350 gm, hammered art paper and yes, it would look pretty great in your living room
